I am about to have a nervious attack! I just bought a new Memory card (compact flash) for my Canon 350, I took the old out to check if it was the same, and when I tried to place it again it had a CF error, I have tried dozen times to place it again and the error is still there, I have called the people who sold it to me (`cause stupid me, when I first bought it I had the same error, but after a couple of times it detected the card and I just forgot to call to ask) and I cant find them... I have a session in a couple of hours... I want to cry :( has this happen to any of you? what happened?

have you tried to format the card? in camera or in computer?

Did you bend a pin over in the camera? Look down the hole that the CF Card slides into and make sure all the pins are straight and present.

Any problems with your other cards? Have you formatted the card in-camera?

It is happening with both memory cards, so I guess it`s a problem of the camera... Anyway, the camara dont detect the memory card so I cant format it (and I really cant do it anyway `cause I have some pictures I havent download) I checked the pins but I dont see anything wrong with that either :(... I`m panicking!

Do you have a CF Card reader? Try using one and see if they work on a computer.

Do you have access to a friend or relative's camera and CF card? If so, you could try swapping CF cards to see if your card works in their camera, and vice-versa. It doesn't have to be the same type of camera, as long as it uses CF cards.

Also, try the obvious; shut off the camera, remove the lens, replace the battery with a fully charged one, then try to access the CF card.

You could also stop by one of those print centers like at Wal-Mart. They will tell you if the cards are readable or not.

I really think it is the camera... The card was doing fine, and the other one is brand new, neither is working with the camera... It think the camera had the problem since I bought it, just that now I cant find the way to make it work :(
