The maternal part of my family is from Alabama, and they used to drink a lot of bourbon - LOTS of it. I really loved the smell of mint juleps and how pretty it looked in the frosted metal goblets.
And then I have red hair - so I made Redjulep. Julep is derived from the Arabian 'gulab', which refers to a refreshing drink. And I'm pretty refreshing - hahaha! |

It's kind of a nickname...some of my close friends call me Magen Marie. There ya go. Booooooooooooring. :)

Crow is my last name and I started adding the "is" because on email accounts I would be Crowis@. Now I've done it for so long it's just become a username.

Mine is a pet name from an old boyfriend, and it pretty well describes me:
curious
likes to be petted (but only sometimes)
independent (but craves attention)
occasionally loud-mouthed
can be very 'catty' when the mood strikes
and sometimes I just have to be in another room, often for no reason

I was hired by a secret group of radical Irish poets to infiltrate the Underworld. Technically, when one enters the Underworld, one is considered dead. And since it was a highly classified mission, I needed a codename: "posthumous" It has stuck with me ever since.

| In school all my buds called me Rico Suave. Then it went to just Rico. Then after the movie Starship Troopers, kinda corny but loved it any how, everyone started callin me Johnny Rico. Couldn't get the name on AOL so back in the day made it JawnyRico. And now I've vowed to go to war with any bugs that attack our planet. |

| Joint Task Force Six is a Narcotics task force made up of a Motley crew of federal agencies that are blended together along with the Department of Defense that strive to curb the amount of narcotics smuggled into the United States or just see how much money they can suck from the tax payers before their caught, which ever comes first. I used to be an agent with this unit. I left after seeing the amount of corruption that was and still is building from the top down. |

| I am loving this thread. Interesting to find out how the names came about. It just hit me that in the 9th grade, I was the tallest girl and so my nickname was Bod Massive. Lovely isn't it? (NOT) At least Jutilda has a ring to it. LOL |

back to the good ol' school days (not so old for me though):
"Faust" by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, General plot (source: wikipedia):
The story concerns the fate of a learned scholar named Faust, who in his quest for the true essence of life ("was die Welt im Innersten zusammenhaelt"), summons the Devil (represented by Mephistopheles, often also referred to as Mephisto), who offers to serve him as long as Faust lives. Mephistopheles may receive Faust's soul, but only when Faust has attained the zenith of human happiness. In the second Part of the Faust tragedy (Faust 2), Faust really does have the pleasure to experience the latter, however, Mephisto, trying to grab Faust's soul when the protagonist dies, is burnt down by the empowering force of love. Faust deserves to go to heaven, because of his unquenchable thirst for knowledge and understanding ("man must strive and err") that exceeds the limits set for human beings.
to make it short, i featured the character Mephistopheles in a theater play (the whole first part of the tragedy btw), we had to perform in the last year of school. |

My username "Blazelle" is actually a mondegreen, from the C.S. Lewis book Prince Caspian.
I wanted something "different" and was listening to the audiobook version of Prince Caspian at the time. Two of the villians in the book are "Lord Sopespian" and "Lord Glozelle". I thought the spelling was "Blazelle" and signed up for an LJ account using that name. I then used the name on a few other sites before finding that I'd totally misspelled it!
The name works fine for me though, mondegreen or not.

xantangummi is a substance used in several food products, like ice cream. I was using it for something else when I signed up for this site and thought it sounded cool.
The english word is Xanthan Gum and it's also sold under the name Rhodopol T and Polysaccharide B 1459.

My first name is Larry and I love lighthouses. I started a website call "Larry's Lights" about six years ago, so I just used that name when I signed up here. This place has made photography supplant lighthouses as my #1 hobby.
