What do you gusy think is a right price for used 300 D with kit lens ?? I am looking to buy one to upgrade from my powershot S2. I know its obsolete now but I dont want to spend a lot to get into the SLR world now. Do you think I shouldnt bother going from a S2 to 300D ?

well when i was searching for a used dslr the 300D was my first choice and the going rate on like Ebay was around $400-$600 Cad, but it varies, check amazon and what not. But instead of the 300D i ended up coughing up the extra $200 for the 350D, just need a damn memory card now lol

I would think in the 300 to 400 dollar range. And that would be a great first SLR.

Considering that you can get a brand spanking new XT for $575, I'd probably not pay over $400 for one in any condition.
