First appetizer:
Mushroom Salad Mediterranean style
Caesar̢۪s mushroom (Amanita Caesarea) is a species I have been looking for in the wild and on markets without success for over 20 years. Due to our exceptional summer this year some of these were finally available for sale. We served them sliced, raw, just brushed with quality olive oil on both sides, a pinch of coarse salt and freshly ground pepper and a few fresh greens. Fantastic!
Second appetizer:
Crayfish Butter Mousse
The long part of this recipe is the making of a rich crayfish- tarragon butter. The mousse part is pretty classical.
The picture is a bit gloomy and has messy shadings. Eating the props was the fun part.
Main dish:
Duck filets with a cherry-sesame sauce
A duck broth reduction with a dash of sesame oil, a stick of salted butter and some preserved black cherries makes a great sauce for this bird. Guarantied Diet Free!
The picture is ok but looks a little old fashion (cookbooks of the 80s.)
If you are still hungry, check my cheese platter from last January
My dessert pic was perhaps a little less showy but was the one I preferred and therefore submitted to the challenge. It is real great recipe, always a success. Works very well without the passion fruit part.
For those interested, I have a few new entries in my portfolio. |

Now that is one fine meal set up JJ. I'm practically drooling here. If you crack open a couple of those 1923 bottles of wine you got there as well, then I'll be right on over.

Dangit. Now I'm really hungry.
Somehow my peanut butter and jelly sandwich doesn't look as appetizing as it did 5 minutes ago.
Great shots JJ! |

Alright I was nice and shared my recipes for the photo I used for the recipe challenge and I realize these weren't in the challenge but gee if you got to show us something so tempting least you could do is share the recipes. LOL I'm hungry, it's almost lunchtime. |
