I don't see where anyone indicated selective editing was done on any of these pictures. Not sure where you got that from.

Correct. No one has said otherwise. There are plenty of DQs for violating just that rule.

Neither of the two shots you mentioned used selection tools.

I think you're heading either for an unhappy time here at DPC or several DQs if you continue with this attitude. Several people have taken the time to explain what's what, and you continue with your sarcastic tone, unwilling to absorb what we're saying.

I, for one, am done trying to help you.

Well, hey! If two images get bumped from the top results then guess who slides into the top 5 and gets a cool 'Honorable Mention' marker in their profile? :D

Oh wait, that's right, those top 5 are already validated!!! So sorry.

Seriously, I don't know what all the noise is about either, but the OP is relatively new (registered Nov 17, 2006) and only has 2 challenges under his belt. Time will tell...

Karl, I like your username 'AZSnapper'. Creative. :D When you get a chance, check out some of the links that were posted by others in this thread.

None of the top 5 entries broke any rules. No selections were made, and all were a single capture. It sounds like maybe you DO understand the rules, but don't understand what's possible with legal editing (although the match photo was a "normal" shot with little editing).

I don't think he understands what's possible with photography.

Isn't it nice to see someone who assumes the worst of others and throws around accusations of cheating without even attempting to find out the truth of the situation first?

If you don't understand how something was achieved under the rule set then ask, politely, without jumping to conclusions about cheating.

There are many very, very creative and ingenious people participating here at DPC who have developed some clever and legitimate techniques to achieve all manner of clever effects within the rules.

Just because you aren't able to think of a way does NOT mean no one else could.

The 4th place image was inspired by Kurt Cobains "last words" in his suicide note. I incorrectly guessed it was a quote from the movie Highlander!

Anyway this was one of the comments made on that image:

This got me thinking and I found a site that has some interesting ideas on the subject: here

Fact or Conspiracy theory?
