I've been working on this shot this week. the original was two seperate shots. my daughter on a dark grey brick road and then a path with some trees. I added the road and my daughter(tons of masking) into the tree shot and made the bricks yellow(tons of masking again.lol)and my problem is I cant make the brick edges blend well into the other shot. Any suggestions on how to make that a smoother transition without blurring it?? I really love the concept/idea of this shot. I really want to make it work. Any suggestion welcome.

Crystal, use the blur brush to blur that sharp edge along the path - take cues from the bg as to how much the blur progresses through the shot -- also blur the path too as it moves into the distance. I think you can make a winner of this one.

Sometimes, I just blur the mask to good effect. If the shot of your daughter on the path is on one layer with a mask, then this might work. (please note that I said might).

Here's a quick and dirty blurring of the edges with the blur tool in "darken" mode at 50%. It could be done more selectively so less blur in foreground and more in BG. Notice also use of the "skew" tool to square up the bricks in the foreground.
