Our new home is complete. We will be in by Christmas. I was thinking of doing a montage of the home from start to finish. This will be the first one that I've done. I'm thinking 16x20.
Need a little help.
In your opinion:
How many shots should I use
Should I use one "big" one with several smaller ones?
How should I separate the individual shots? Borders...white space etc...
Should I shadow or "float" each shot or just have a flat look?
You can see many of the shots that I can choose from on the link in my sig. Go the the "my new home" once you get to smugmug.
Samples would help greatly!
Thank you all.

There's a program called Lumapix Fotofusion that we absolutely LOVE and use all the time, makes montage creations a snap.

Standard is $39, and Pro is $89, trust me, the money is worth it for all the time it saves.

Some Examples:
I suggested it because it lets you simply load a bunch of photos in, and it figures out all the placements, which you can customize, or simply keep hitting the re-order until you find a layout you like.
Watch the tutorials on the website and you'll be holding yourself back from grabbing your wallet.
