Is it just me or it is quite unoriginal to just tilt the camera to create a diagonal? IMO anybody can shoot anything and tilt it. I feel like I have to leave low scores for this unoriginality... Should be classified as DNMC... What do you people think about this?

Like  idnic said: It's already being discussed in the scores thread - but I totally agree with you. Far to many pictures where the only diagonal is caused by a tilted camera.

I think it's ok, I'll usually -1 it on my overall score of the picture, but I don't see it as a DNMC, would be a little harsh with such lax & non-descriptive criteria. |

| It's not unorginal in my opinion. The challenge description said it didnt need diagonal lines specifically so people looked for other ways to make the diagonal thing work and titling is a very interesting way to do that. |

I read the "diagonal line not required" part as a reminder that a composition my be strongly diagonal without any lines at all; the diagonal can be implied rather than explicit.

and sometimes you may get "blinded" by the "tilt" and not realize there are *other* diagonals in the shot.
look carefully when voting. perhaps there is soemthing there you didn't see . . . |

Amen to that. I sort of think in terms of the priority of a 'diagonal axis as the major compositional thrust', but that's a little unfair to those who don't know what that means. (?)
