Hi all, I'm sure this has been brought up before somewhere, but I was curious how many times my D70s has had its shutter open and close.
I came across this little utility that you open any JPG image from your Nikon camera and in the EXIF data it tells you how many shutter actuations you've had. I am at 9964.

I'm not sure if Canon was smart enough (poke poke) to have the EXIF data show shutter actuations or not, but you might give it a try.

| Wow, 50,000, I wonder how many a shutter is good for? Did I hear over 100,000 some where? I'm glad I'm only at 10,000 with my camera being 1 year old. I should be able to get at least 5 more good years out of it. |

I managed about a hundred shots before my shutter broke. Do I win a prize or something?

| my shutter broke after a year and maybe 20,000. Canon replaced it right before my warantee went out. |

My button well toggle thingy to change the shutter speed is broken does that count? lol
