My Old Samsung 955df 19" CRT is losing brightness.
To clear up deskspace I was thinking of getting this LCD.
Any thought?
Monitor
Edit I knew Moniter didnt look right-- Can someone correct my Title to "Monitor"

I've never heard a bad word said about Viewsonic monitors. Looks like the reviews are possitive about this one, also.
As far as photo editing goes, there are people that love widescreen monitors and there are those that hate them.
I suppose if I shot more often in ladscape orientation, I'd like widescreen better, but since I shoot 85% of the time with my camera on its side, that's a lot wasted real estate.
Edit: I know you are a gamer, so you'd likely love it. Especially since it is a bright monitor and has a fairly high contrast ratio.

The only thing i've hears on LCDs is for photo editing you want as much contrast ration as possible. This one has 700 - a bit average. LG has one at any bestbuy that's 1400:1 and $350 or so.
If you want to brave black friday and get there early, staples and best buy both have a samsung 19" wide with 2000:1 contrast for $129.

I thought I was going insane. I forgot how to spell 'monitor' after seeing this thread. |
