Ok....I am sure this thread is a bit quiet due to many people scratching their heads over this challenge. So does anybody care to start posting some examples for the ones who are a little to shy to ask.

Come on.....let's see them!

THere are lots of diagonal compositions in my portfolio. I like diagonals. Its a good compositional technique.

I love diagonals too:

... just to pick a few from my portfolio :)

I hunted and hunted and while there are diagonals in a lot of my pictures I wouldn't really say they were related to this challenge. Here is a pic I took a couple of years ago that might be okay

My top three scoring photos all have diagonals...

Here are a couple of examples of some of my diagonals, and there are plenty more in my portfolio, as I really love this style of photography format.

can I get an opinion please? I think there are a lot of diagonal lines in this photo (even though the horizon is straight) but do you think its a bit too subtle?

Personally, I'd give you credit... but, as a whole you really have to slap the voters in the face with a concept to avoid DNMC votes.

For most things yes but I doubt voters would penalize a stunning landscape for not meeting the challenge. Just doesn't happen.

Depends if it's a mistake or deliberate:)

I have the same problem. a landscape (unfortunately not stunning and in black and white...) where there is a diagonal but I am not sure that it will be appreciated. Sunday I will be at Rome for work. I hope to find a better photograph...

i think if the composition relies on a horizontal or vertical line as a reference point to the viewer it doesn't fit this challenge... does that make any sense?

I was going to enter Diagonal, but I'm leaning against it. ;-)

Where does he come up with this stuff?

WAIT A MINUTE!!! DNMC paranoia has just kicked in...

Is this a Tilted Horizon type of description for the Challenge? Or basically, Tilt shots, in general?

If that's what people are going to be looking for, I'll need to pull my entry.

edit: Well, I re read the description and I think I'm ok. Not 100% certain what people will have in mind but I do have a strong "diagonal axis" dominating my comp.
