Yesterday, I was online eyeing the Dell 24" LCD again. It was on sale for $679 and the sale was supposed to last till the 22nd.

Well, I talked to my husband and asked if I could go ahead and order it since it was such a great price even though I have only saved $500 so far. He thought I should go for it.

I went to dell.com, credit card in hand, and they raised the price back up to $799. I even tried calling Dell and they were of no help.

Booo. Hoooo. Hoooo.

Check out Ebay. I just checked, there's a bunch of them (brand new) for $625 + $39 shipping =$664. Good feedback for that seller too. That's one of the cheapest buy-it-now prices I saw, others in a bid war for less, but just do a search for Dell 24 lcd for more. Good luck!

The hard thing is finding someone on ebay (and others) to ship to an FPO AP address!

I also found this seller who says they ship internationally, but the price is $699 + shipping (whatever that is) which will probably take you up to the current Dell price.

One thought, with the holidays approaching fast Dell is sure to have more sales. I was shopping for a Dell monitor a while back and I missed the sale, but a week or two later they had it on sale for even cheaper, so keep checking. Sometimes they only alot a certain amount for the sale price though, so you got to get them early. A couple places to keep checking for Dell deals are //www.gottadeal.com and //www.slickdeals.net. There's also other "deals" sites out there, but these are a couple that come to mind.

Thank you, I will keep checking back. I definitely don't want to pay $800 for it when I can get it for $700. I am not in a super big rush for it, but that $679 price put me in a rush...LOL

If you're not in a big rush, I'd wait until after the Christmas rush. Prices usually drop right afterwards...not to mention the fact that the Consumer Electronics Show is being held in Las Vegas in early January 2007. The latest gizmos that will be coming out may also drop the price on the Dell even further. No guarantee, but possible.
