I am looking for some help here. I am trying to understand why this photo received 33 votes of 3 or less, but almost all the comments were quite positive. I'm not complaining about troll votes or anything, I am just looking to get some constructive criticism on this shot. If this is the result of a bunch of DNMC votes, so be it. I just wouldn't expect to receive 11 ones.

Thanks!

My guess is the 1-voters didn't look at the image long enough to understand what they were seeing. They didn't "get" the reflection. Too bad, its a nice shot.

If you don't look at it for more than half a second, it's not apparent that it's two airplanes. I think you're probably the victim of the superspeed voters.

I think a few of the comments possibly point you in the direction of "not a real reflection" and you yourself wrote in your comments that it would get DNMC votes.

My inital reaction was "where's the reflection" and then "Mmmm whats going on here?". The second reaction was good enough to get you a 6 vote but it would have been 34 votes of 3 or less if I hadn't taken a few extra thirty seconds to have a more indepth look. It's a interesting photo but I don't think it was a great photo for this challenge

I never thought about people not understanding it was two jets. That makes a lot of since now that I think about it!

I was expecting some DNMC votes, but I was also expecting people to tell me about it.

Thanks for the feedback!
