Of course "Kitchen Sink" is a theatrical term used for extreme realism post 60's plays (see John Osborn of the English Theatre) that quite literally reflected the kitchen sink: plays about the harsh realities of life that showed poverty, people in real crisis, the peeling wallpaper, dripping taps, exposed electricals, piles of ironing...This COULD be an exciting topic after all??? |

sounds like a topic !
i stayed with a family in costa rica when i was 16. their open air kitchen sink consisted of a basin with a garden hose for a tap, and another acted as a drain which discharged into the backyard - creating a stream and puddle for the backyard animals to drink from.
they didn't have a bathroom sink - but the shower/tiolet was a dirt pad at one end of one of the bed rooms with curtain to partition off the bed from the bath.
