I want to start using an old camera my grandfather gave me. He gave me an old Nikon FT2. I like the camera.
Here's the problem: the light meter won't work unless you specify the kind of film you are using by the ASA standard
the problem is I am using ISO 400 film? What would that correlate to in ASA standards?

| The numbering for ASA is the same as ISO. |

should be the same in ISO or ASA

ASA and ISO are interchangable.

To convert from ISO to ASA, simply multiply the ISO number by 1. To go the other way, you would of course divide by 1.

To expand on that,
ASA = American Standards Association
ISO = International Standards Organization
For a long time film was rated ASA everywhere in the world, but the rest of the world didn't like that too much, so the ISO took over in the interests of global peace and unity... Or something like that :-)
