I now have about 50 GB of photo data I would like to sort out, I need to back it up but want to do it after I have thinned the files out some and sorted them into some sort of order, at the moment they just get stuck in a folder that kind of fits and that’s it.
I need some way of getting rid of my tiff’s, from my astro stuff and making them jpegs, getting all the raw files to be put off-line safe and to add keywords into the files that will allow me to upload them to stock sites, it should also remember which files I have sent where, it will also have to sort me out in the future so as I put a card in it gets the pictures and makes me add keywords and stuff, is there such a thing?? Please help me sort this mess out :)

I think ACDSee 9 comes close to what you are looking for...

careful i am pretty sure that using this program will in validate originals for the challenges. so if you use it don't use it to transfer your originals or download your files for challenge shots. |

I think this is only true if you let it rotate your images. Turn off auto-rotate and it simply copies your files. Also if, like me, you shoot only raw, then there are no worries at all as it doesn't touch raw files.
It's such a powerful manager though, that I definitely wouldn't throw it out just for the EXIF-stamping file transfer issue. If that's really a big concern, then use Windows to copy your files instead of ACDSee.
