| I was recently on a trip where there was a tour. The tour guide was dressed in Civil War costume. It was a public tour and they expect people to take pictures. I of course had my camera on me and took photos. Do you need a model release for public tours like that? To me it's the equivalent of taking pictures of a parade or something. |

It really depends on what you want to use the photos for. Typically you only need model releases for commercial photography (ie advertising and stock). For editorial and art photos a model release isn't usually required.

| Thanks. The ones that show the guys face will probably only be used for editorial purposes and for my portfolio. There are a couple that don't have the guys face and they will probably be used for stock (well my first attempts at Stock) |
