Ive recently cleaned the CCD on my S2 Pro, but during the procedure the mirror dropped and a shutter trapped the pecpad-on-a-stick thingy I was using. I reopened the shutter with the 'vulcan nerve pinch', and carried on cleaning.
But when I tried the camera, autofucus failed to work. Manual focus works fine.
It seems to do the hunt, focussing all the way in, then back out to infinity (and beyond). The little fucus illumination light always comes on, so I'm guessing that the autofucus sensor is either dead, or something is stopping light hit the af sensor.
Anyone able to suggest a simple remedy, or is it off to the shop? |

Have you tried shutting it off and taking the battery out? A cold boot, so to speak. |

Yup, all batts out, and no luck.
My photography has improved now I use manual focus. |
