I'm still running PS 7.

I hear Adobe will have CS3 out around April 07.

My questions:
I can upgrade now to CS2, and most likely have to pay again to get CS3 - unless I buy CS2 within what - 30 or 60 days of CS3's release? I don't want to have to buy both if you know what I mean. What's the free upgrade time Adobe has used in the past? Is there a deadline where you can't upgrade for the $150?

I currently run an AMD Athlon XP1800 (1.49Ghz) and 512Mb of ram. Yes, it's not enough ram anymore, I know.

I can get 2Gb of ram for this machine $300 ish), or buy a new machine and can most likely only afford 1Gb of RAM ($650ish I hope complete - I'd need a complete system with WinXP).

Yes, I'd love a dual core AMD and 2Gb of ram, but it's not in the budget.

So what's your suggestion on what to do? More ram for this machine or a newer machine with 1Gb, and what minium processor class/speed?
