Hello
I am a beginner photographer living in Albuquerque. I have used film for a few years and just made the leap to digital. I must say that I love it. I just found DP challenge and would like to participate. I must admit I am not very computer savvy. I was wondering if you could help me with a few questions that I have.
1) I have a picture to submit for the Light contest. I use a Nikon d100. I took it in JPEG fine setting and it is rather large. I donĂ¢€™t know how to take pictures that are the kb and pixel size requirements necessary to submit for the contest. Please help.
2) Second, when I submit a photo they ask for the file name. What is that about. Does that mean that they can retrieve the photo from my computer directly. That just does not seem safe. All my financials are on my computer. Again Please help.

As far as uploading the file - it's just as it sounds - only that file. Its a little complicated to explain, but basically that window you see is a local event (only you are seeing that info), and your telling your computer to upload that file (they are not "coming" into your computer to get it - you are sending it) make sense?
