...it may be a DNS issue. DNS is technical jargon for translating the name "www.dpchallenge.com" that you type in, into the "real" internet address, an IP Address.
The next time you have trouble connecting to this site, try this IP Address-based link:
//198.77.14.211

I first thought that the slowness and problems connecting today was related to my computer and network where I was most of the day. However, I'm back at my hotel and the same issues exist. So, I thought maybe it's a DNS issue. It appears so, but on DPC's end.
Not every link will work. For example, those that embed DPC links into a signature, which may be "hard-coded" to the name "www.dpchallenge.com". If this happens, just replace that text with the numeric IP address.

Probably not, but the dynamic address hasn't changed all day.

I don't think it's a DNS issue because I've tried connecting to the IP address in the past including an hour ago but still had problems accessing the site. |

I know I had two tabs open--one for the www.dpchallenge.com and the other for IP Address and I kept refreshing both of them. Only the IP Address one would connect.

From some errors I've gotten today, it might be an issue with MySQL. |

That's what I was thinking...maybe it's missing an index and doing table scans (a lengthy process which would block all access until it was done). That would explain the symptoms of the site appearing frozen.

Well the IP didn't load the site at all when I tried it earlier. That was when the domain name didn't work also. Now it seems to be doing better (currently using the domain name). |

Yeah the system tried to add another ribbon for Larus and it threw a "space quota exceeded" error because he has damn too many. :P |

It's a glitch in the Matrix. We all should just take the blue pill and get back to our lives. |
