I seriously hoped this to do better...
But what stings more is the lonely comment... in other words.. its just another picture and doesn't stir emotion.. )-; Owell. b/w and free are my last for a while for sure.

some one can vote you 9 while 3 other people adjust your shot -1... it would look like you got a single 6 vote

Mine will soon be out of its misery. 4.8 and holding for 2 days.
Edit: and of course, 3 total comments --- all positive and not a single bit of critique or reason why it's a below 5 image.

How do you actually know that they gave you certain scores?
Isn't it possible and likely that people are adjusting scores - I know I have - late in the week to reorder their preferences.
You are actually just guessing when the score changes and the vote numbers change. Is the guess pretty accurate? Generally yes, but it is still a guess. |

It's possible, but I strongly doubt that they all happened to do that at the same time. One bump maybe, but 3? And yes, it was within seconds of the previous vote, because I happened to hit the update button after reading only one forum post. It doesn't matter; at this stage it doesn't affect the score all that much, just seems... odd...

Mine is also hanging in there at a 4.7 and stabalising... I have had 6 comments though and all except one is a "Wow" comment. The one which is vaguely un-wow says something about nice colours but that it just doesn't leap out as an image. The other comments have included rave reviews and indicated scores of 8 and 10, and yet I sit at 4.7??? Can only assume that the 5 people who like my photo have submitted comments and the other 152 think it's a 3..?
Also what is frustrating is the fact that I've had 212 views and 157 votes... while y'all viewing why not throw in a few 5's???

I will often go through and vote, and then come back and give comments later - so it could be that the 9 isn't a new vote. |

I never comment while voting. I vote first, then come back to comment later if I have time. And I often tell you the score I had left you.

Yep, I tend to do that as well. I vote and then look at the placings I've made...I try and vote on all submissions...and that usually within the first 2 days of voting. I settle with 2-3 10's, 4ish 9's, a few more 8's and then a large group of 6's and 5's and 4's and so it goes.... At that point I go back and make comments. Along the way initially I might make comments if they leap out at me.

I'm crusing along with a 5.7. I keep waiting for all the people who have absolutely hated my shots in past challenges to sign on and blast me back to three. I haven't even gotten any condecending comments...

| I'm just so entirely happy right now: my photo is sitting just under 5, but do you know what??? I've had 8 FANTASTIC comments! Each comment has been full of praise and it's just so warming to know that somewhere in the world at least 2 people think my pic deserves a 10!!! That makes it all worth it. |
