Any ideas on how he's getting the look that he gets? He's pretty consistent about it!

if you go to the contact page, at the bottom it has a link "behind the scenes" if you clikc on it you get photos and videos (you have to disable your popup blocker)... seems like a whole lot of his stuff is in the lighting, then in post processing i imagine a whole bunch of dodge and burn layers ?

hes also using a digitl hasselblad... its tough to not take good pics with that beast :)

the processing he does looks a lot like what Susi Lawson does with her images. I believe she used PS and Illustrator. I know she has some DVD's that she's selling that shows how to do this kind of processing. (it appears to look similar)

 I really like it....

To my eye..... its shadow/highlight adjusstments followed by a bit of liquify on some. Fairly easy changes. Oh, add the usual dodging & burning.

that is very funny. wouldn't it be better to say, "very inspired"..try to spin it to your advantage. But I know what you mean kind of. He has some serious something going on there.

Saw a bunch of famous people there. The guy on the hanglider is the guy from Punk'd.
And the girl on the couch has been in a bunch of movies. I remember her from ''Varsity Blues''
 Great shots!!

 Edited to add:
The girl with the toaster is the grownup version of the kid in "Remember the Titans"
She was the daughter of the coach or something....

Yeah that's Amy Smart, she was James Vanderbeeeeek's girlfriend in VB. Also played the hot chick in "Roadtrip" (saw her when they were filming on my college campus!). |
