Sharpening settings depend on the target output of the image - from all that I have read. I would love to create a table using your favorite settings. Please add the values that you use (and if you use different values for portraits, please specify):
Output--------------------------------------Amount---Radius----Threshold
DPC challenge, 72 dpi, 640 px---------(85%)-----(0.6)---------(0)
4 x 5 print, 150 dpi
4 x 5 print, 300 dpi
8 x 10 print, 150 dpi
8 x 10 print, 300 dpi
16 x 20 print, 150 dpi
16 x 20 print, 300 dpi
Thanks.

for web:
smart sharpen, 0.3, anywhere from 200% to 500%
for print:
i use usm and oversharpen (at least, it looks that way on the screen, but prints nicely), but i have no standard values (maybe 200,0.8,0) |

For web (72dpi/640x): Smart Sharpen > Lens Blur or Gaussian (depending on image) > Amount 18% -200% > Radius 0.1 - 0.3. Kind and amount of sharpening needed, I find, can vary greatly from image to image, although most appear to require very little. Last one I submitted was Smart Sharpen > Lens Blur > 18% > 0.1.
For print: I save all TIFFs unsharpened at this point and have no experience using the Smart Sharpen feature for print output so far.

Thanks for your numbers - anyone else, especially for print?
