Hi - a query here about printers - hoping someone out there may be in the same position as me and be able to offer some advice

I have read the other big threads on printers and found them very useful - I'm just wondering if anyone has experience of doing more or less the same as me.

I have a portable studio - a local wrestling outfit wants me to turn up at their shows and take souvenir photos at ringside and in the ring - kids with their favourite wrestlers that kind of thing. The shots will be taken in the interval and need to be on sale about an hour later.

I also took some shots at a pub halloween party the other week.

With regard to the pub shots I put the shots on photobucket and got no sales at all (and some of them were quite good i thought) - possibly due to image theft. But at the time people were coming to us with their money ready - if we had had prints ready we would have sold a lot !

So what I'm looking for is a printer that offers good quality, quite fast, easy use, quick drying, won't fade by Tuesday, and with a number of inks that willmake it economical to use. budget paper would be good too.

Having read the other threads I am looking at either -

Epson R1800 at 319 quid

or

Canon IP 4300 at 59 quid.

Budget is an issue so i am tending towards the Canon. I'm not going to make a fortune out of this but I think it could be fun and I'd like to cover my expenses.

Anyone out there done anything similar and prepared to admit to it ? It's not art but I'd like to do it as well as possiblew.

Thanks

idp

I saw a dude who had a large format HP that had several differnt ink cartidges. I think he knew what he was doing; i know nothing about it. The stuff he produced was very fine tho.
