My 350D decided to jump from about 1800 to 9100 and I'd like to get it back to where it should be. I think it happened when I switched cards between that one and the G6, although I've done it since and the numbers are still in the 9100 range. I don't want to reset it to 0.

Also, twice since in the last week, the display would not come on no matter what I did. Only after playing with it for a while did it come back. I restarted camera, took out battery, etc. Even before these two episodes there were several times it would not let me set the area it used for autofocus, which drove me crazy since it was set to all points instead of my default of center point. Now it lets me set it fine.

Any ideas on what's going on?

Edit: I will check firmware at lunch, but I bought it 8 months after last firmware update came out.

Switching cards will do it. I've had that happen between the 10D and G3.

I believe formatting the card in the camera you want to use it in will correct the problem.

Thanks, but will that set it back to the correct number?
