I just got this in email. Also, I'm including a link to his website for those who'd like to see his work.
Bill Silliker Website

Howdy!

I just received this email from Artie Morris.....

I just learned that Bill Silliker--friend, solid
professional, moose-lover, and protector of the
environment, suffered a massive heart attack and
died on location at Baxter State Park, a place
that he loved dearly. He was conducting a Great
American Photography Weekend workshop. A friend tried
to revive him until the EMC arrived but was
unsuccessful.

Bill's early photography was instrumental in the
creation (and protection) of Rachel Carson NWR.
He was the founder of Friends of Rachel Carson NWR
and served as the organization's first president
from 1987-1989 and on the board until his death.
"The Moose Man" will be missed by all.



Bill was a good friend, we had done a couple of
projects together. We had the uncommon bond, a
love of moose. His passing is a great loss!
