A friend of mine camped at Walmart with friends and got 7 units for her boss. He paid each of them $300 in cash to camp 28 hours and bought thier meals.
He plans on selling all 7 units. Looking at a net profit of at least $2,000 per unit.

So, what this thread is saying is when my daughter tried to sell us one for 200 bucks to make rent, we should have taken it and not just gave her the money???
Edit to add, being funny, we still wouldnt have taken it, but those prices here are Way out there......

Hey guys, my son says the game store has them in stock, $599. Why are they selling for so much on ebay?? Serious question

In stock, but how many?
One of the local FutureShop stores had 12 and I believe only 3 of them were the 60GB version (or whatever the top version is). There has been a line outside the store for 2 days.
I'd say wait until Walmart and Zellers has them on sale. Or better yet, wait for the boxing day sale.

| No clue how many. My son has been begging for the money for over a week now telling me they will all be gone, and it will be all my fault he doesnt have one. I showed him the ebay listing and he informed me that they had them in stock for cheeper and see how much money he could save me. Teens!!! |

I think it might be different if there was enough for everyone in line. The one guy said he bought two and smashed one. So, that is one less person who gets one. Disrespectful.
edited to add that if he wanted to smash it, he shouldn't have done it in front of people waiting in line like that. That is what gets me the most.

| They will alos be smashing a Wii, as they have previously smashed a XBox 360 and IPod. Imagine if they did a digital camera smashing. |
