Does anybody own the LowePro "Stealth Reporter D650 AW" laptop/camera shoulder bag?

How does it go? Is there room for fat, pro lenses? Does it fit a packed lunch? How many people can you fit in it at one time?

I have the Stealth 650AW.

It's HUGE.

Mine currently holds: 10D w grip, Tamron 28-75 f2.8, Sigma 12-24, Canon 70-200f4L, Canon 50mm f1.8, Canon 85mm f1.8, Peleng 8mm fisheye, laptop, 5"x7" spiral notebook, set of Kenko extension tubes, Flash Bracket,420EX flash, battery chargers for the AA batteries and the BP-511 batteries.

There's still room for lunch and some more stuff.

The problem is not getting a lot of gear into the bag, it's lifting the beast when it's loaded.

Is it too big for a 15.4" laptop? I was told it holds up to 17"

Also, with the compartments, is it practical to have stuff other than camera gear? I'm hoping to use it as a Laptop/Camera/flight carry on bag.

Oh, and I presume it's as tough as the other LowePro's i've had.

Could it carry the 10D w/ grip with a 70-200 Mounted?

EDIT: Have you got a pic? All the photos i see show the D550 AW, it's smaller sibling...

Sounds like it should come with those built-in wheels and retractable handle like most luggage these days ... or take along a hand-truck. Or go the Ansel Adams route and get a pack mule ... : )

When someone commented that his big camera bags must be heavy, on photographer was heard to say, "I wouldn't know, that's what assistants are for."

I just looked at bags the other night, The one I am thinking about getting has wheels as well as the backpack straps and carrying handles on the top and side of the bag. The part that worries me is this bag seems almost as heavy standalone as my current bag fully loaded, With exception of my camera and grip which do not fit in the bag I have now. I also have a 500 mm lens that I would be putting in the new bag. Im guessing it would weigh around 35-40lb...

I think it's a bit large to carry on. I know it won't fit under an airline seat.

It will easily hold the 10D with grip and 70-200 mounted.

Some shots of me with the 650 on PBase

I always carried it on. It will hold a 15.4" laptop. It will fit under the seat in front of you, providing you're on a full size plane.

I have 1 for sale...PM me for info. I was cleaning my laptop and deleted the phots, but can take more if you need.
