I love the semi annual Triangle Photographer's meetings, but I find them expensive. Perhaps it's the bargains, the deals, or just a lack of self control.

Canon was there with all their toys. The 17-55 2.8 IS is awesome - I can handhold and get a blur free shot at 55mm at 1/4 second shutter speed. Now to find the $1100!

I did get 2 10x21 muslins, rejects of some kind, at $65 each I don't much care. the one has a pattern on the one side that bled through a bit...but much though. I now feel I have a satisfactory selection of muslins. Black, white, blue, brown, lavender/pinkish and greenish/mauve as well as a christmas scenic. Now to find a model and show them all!

I also bought a new umbrella for my studio lights, it matches the one I bought back in march. Good equipment is nice to work with.

Then i screwed the pooch, er, the budget. I bought a lens. The canon 10-22 3.5-4.5. NICE lens. If i wasn't at the meeting all day I might have been able to take some pictures!
All I got was this one of my friends car when I stopped bo to go to lunch.

congrats on all your new toys, but particularly the 10-22 which is one of my all-time favorite lenses.

Thanks!
I got a tamron 28-75 used about 2 weeks ago and love it. I got it mostly for backup and wedding receptions but may use it more than I thought!

The 10-22 balances that out (for receptions since 28 isn't wide) and is mostly for weddings and, well, fun! I should get to try it out on a landscape tomorrow, i hope. It's gettin' dark early!

Next two lenses are over a year off, unless the biz does exceptionally well in '07. I want a 17-55 2.8 IS and a 70-200 2.8 IS...what, $2700? and then a 5D of course for that 70-200!
