A new user fairydust was unfairly has her account inactivated here is what happened:

Fairydust's sister panther2232 (thats me!) was suspeneded for a year, she tells her sister to carry on the family name and make her own account, her sister does so and calls it 'fairydust' three days after creating the account fairydust's account is inactivated and she send in a e-mail and explains the situation and the asks them to put the account back in to activity, not only is this e-mail ignored the SIX other e-mails she sends are ignored too! And now my sister cannot enter challenges! this is UNFAIR and DPC administrators won't listen! Please help my sister!

If she's using your computer or internet connection then you IP addresses will be the same.
Multiple accounts for one person are not allowed, so multiple accounts from the same IP address will almost always be blocked.

As for SC not responding or what have you, can't help ya there as I don't know.

We use the same computer but we aren't the same person! how can I prove this?

really? funny, my wife and I log in from the same PC all the time. As do timfythetoo and aimeethetoo I imagine.

In this case, it's kind of hard because you were suspended before you had your sister log in, which really looks suspicious.

To further pontificate, we've had a rash of problems lately with "ghost" accounts and fraudulent voting, so sorry this happened, but there's really not much you can do to prove your identity here AFAIK

It's so upsetting that I can't prove I'm innocent

THere are actually three DPC users using our one computer, but aidanthetoo doesnt vote. I cant remember if we did anything to let SC know that there were two of us from the same computer. I do know that we had to use two different email addresses. It doesnt sound like a multiple user from the same computer issue but more of a safeguard to prevent a suspended user from submitting under another name. Tough break but it doesnt seem too out there IMO. There has just been too many very public displays of a user creating new names after suspension.

BTW - what does it take to get suspended for a year from here?

Oops, I was wrong:
# In order to discourage repeated disqualifications and abuse of the disqualification system, the following penalties will apply for repeat disqualifications:
# 1st DQ in last 25 submissions: No penalty
# 2nd DQ in last 25 submissions: 1 week suspension of submission privileges
# 3rd DQ in last 25 submissions: 2 week suspension of submission privileges
# 4th DQ in last 25 submissions: 4 week suspension of submission privileges and 3 months of required "pre-submission" of proof file.

I imagine if you get to the 4th, and submit another, they'd probably just boot you though.

They suspected I had Multiple Accounts (I don't)

It doesn't make sense to me that you would get suspended for a year for simply having multiple accounts when as you say it could be another family member's account and not your own. So that begs the question is there more you're not telling us? Not saying you are lying but something doesn't jive here.

No, she's saying she got suspended for having multiples, and now - after suspension, sister opened account and was accused of being her, now sister's account is closed too.... I got that right?

Yeah I got that. However what I am saying is there's no way the admins can prove that two accounts opened on the same computer using the same IP address belong to the same person unless of course there is more to the story here. I guess I just don't believe the admins would suspend someone for what should be a fairly common practice (i.e. multiple users on a single computer). I can understand the sister having problems if the other one was already accused of wrong doing so the real issue here is panther2232 first suspension. Was it because of DQs or something?

Ah, yeah, gotcha. My daughter uses a seperate computer in our house, but it all goes through our same wireless network, thus same IP, right? So yeah, I'd say there was something else besides just same IP. SC wanna enlighten us blind wanderers?

Not really. Suffice it to say that we don't suspend without a LOT of evidence and discussion (considerably more than matching IP addresses). An appeal isn't likely to work in this case.
