Is Virtual Photographer legal under advanced editing? It seems to be a filter used on the whole picture so I would think it would be legal. Thoughts?

I don't see why it wouldn't be. Unless it automatically cloned out backgrounds or added motion blur or something, which I don't think it does.

I'm pretty sure it's legal in advanced editing but not so sure about basic.

Likely not, Basic rules are quite specific on which filters CAN be used.

I'm guessing it's legal in basic, too. I sent a ticket with reference to this photo to the SC a while back (not to flag it for DQ, just as an example because I notice in the photographers comments that it was used) to ask the same question:
I never got an answer back and the photo was never DQ'd, so I guess it must be legal in basic as well. But, I'd be scared to use it in basic.
I have never really definatively seen this question answered once & for all. The thread that Nabil referenced referenced another thread where it was said it was okay for advanced, but not basic, but when pressed for reasoning, it was a "I'll get back to you". Then the thread died.

it has a bunch of preset filters that play with focus, color shifting, saturation, image grain, contrast, etc.
