I made a discovery tonight..
As I lay in the dark trying to focus on something with my naked eyes. I can see little white/red/maroon distortions that remind me a lot of camera ISO... But when it is light inside or outside, I can't see it..
So, its like my eyes automatically adjust the sensitivity of the cones in my eyes to see better in the dark, BUT quality is lost in the little pixels/distortions JUST LIKE THE CAMERA ISO..
SO. this leads me to believe, what if our eyes have an ISO setting too?!!?
Like ISO could be just a light thing and not a technical camera thing!?
Anyone ever notice this?

Actually, your eyes adjust to night vision by using the rods on your retinas rather than relying so much on the cones.
The tradeoff is you lose definition and color data., but you do get the higher ISO so to speak. :-)

You know you're addicted to photography when... lol.
(I do notice it, I just never thought of it like that...) |
