I just checked out my free study submission here at work and I'm hoping this monitor just isn't set right. There is a very large difference in the brightness / contrast of the shot. On the monitor here at work, it appears lighter and more washed out.

My concern is that it's been my experience that bad monitors generally make things appear darker, not lighter. My monitor at home is pretty old, but seems to be fine. I can always see the gradient line on the voting page and my prints turn out great (and I have actually had printed my free study entry.)

I wonder if I should be concerned? It does make quite a difference in the richness of the colors in the shot.
