First off, I'm really excited for my 16th place finish. A personal best and while I've been lurking here for some time, I have only posted to four challenges.
Here were my scores:
Average Vote per Commenters: 8.417
Average Vote per Users w/ Cameras: 6.131
Average Vote per Users w/out Cameras: 5.250
Composite score: 6.1051
It strikes me as somewhat odd that the voters without cameras would score it almost a full point lower that the users with cameras. That doesn't seem to be the trend in other peoples photos, where a lot of times the w/o camera people vote higher. Any comments on this? I got many wonderful comments, but as has been said before, I would be interested in the people who gave this a 1 or 2 or 3 and what they thought.
Here is the photo:

people w/o cameras are an extremely low number. In your case, I can almost guarantee you it was only 4 people. It is too small a number for any kind of statistical predictability. Therefore, the question is constantly asked, why is the w/o camera score so low/high/bizarre?

Thanks for sharing that. :D Just an FYI, your post could be considered what's called a thread "hijack". For score feedback you may want to try this locatiion (or start your own thread) => Pretty or Ugly? Oxymoron Scores |

Congrats on your top 20 finish!
As for the 1's, 2's, and 3's - who knows. There are numerous threads here (forum history) where others have pondered that same question. Many theories exist. Conspiracy is the most popular one. JK :D |

Not much of a hijack if you consider the title is "Oxymoron, comment on score" - that's exactly what he did. At any rate, I'd leave it up to the OP to determine "hijack foul". :-) |

Personal opinion I guess. The way the title is worded perhaps you're right. The OP did go on to state "I would be interested in the people who gave this a 1 or 2 or 3 and what they thought". Sounds like he was looking for feedback on his photo.
But hey, no big deal. Carry on... :-) |

My intent was not to âhighjackâ my bad for not realizing the title meant âOxymoron, comment on (my) scoreâ |

"I" "me" and "mine" is almost always implied in DPC Forums. I think it's in the faq somewhere.... ;)

Wow, I hadn't checked on the thread in a while, but did when I noticed that my place had changed, and then saw all the stuff about hijacking a thread. I wanted to find out why my place had changed and saw that the #4 photo had been DQ'd.
Sorry about the confusion. I was mostly trying to get info on why the "voters without camera" scores were so different than the voters with camera scores. Both on my photo and other people's work as well.
I wasn't trying to hijack anything, and normally post to the "official" post your scores here threads.
I only posted my scores as a way to illustrate the difference in the scores from the different voter categories. Because the format is similar, I can see where teh confusion came from.

You weren't being accused of highjacking or anything else. Nobody had a problem with you starting this thread. Someone else posted their score because they misunderstood your thread title. So, carry on and enjoy!
