I tried to write a CS2 action that re-sizes my images, pastes a transparent logo (from another file) in the lower right just inside the edge of the image, and then saves for web. I came across two problems and wondered if anyone could help.

1. When I move the logo, the action records the final location as co-ordinates with respect to the top left of the image. Therefore, if I have an image that is not exactly the same dimensions as the one I used to create the action e.g. portrait not landscape, then the logo appears in the wrong place or off the image altogether. Is there any way I can record the target position the logo with reference to the lower right corner?

2. The action I created recorded the 'save for web at 150kb' without problems, but saved the quality rather than the target file size as the requirement. Therefore I end up with all images at e.g. 48% and varying file sizes, instead of all at 150kb at various qualities.

Can anyone advise?

Will be intrested myself in seeing the replies to that. I have an action that auto sharpens, resizes for web, places my copyright and saves for web that I made, not sure exactally what settings I used, but it works perfectly.

For the logo try adding this to your action.

Paste logo.
Select both layers.
Layers/Align/Bottom Edges (or whatever area you want)
Layers/Align/Right Edges
Select top layer
Nudge 10 spaces left
Nudge 10 spaces up

This can be altered so the logo is where you want and it will save these actions for your other images.
