Please check this link:

HP new digital camera feature

The weird thing is: the background isn't slimming with the models (check the site), so it's amazing what this new feature can do!! It can photograph 2 different layers in one photo, so that the background stays the same..

LOL!

So that's what Weight-Watchers uses in their infomercials..
That's some crazy technology!

At least based upon what I see on the page that was linked, I think the background DOES slim. This appears to me to just be clever use of "resize in one direction only", where the horizontal aspect of the photo is cropped resized but the vertical is left alone.

Just my opinion, because it's a good idea to remember when working with clients who would prefer to be flattered by a slimmer appearance...

What they need now is a "Pretty" and "Handsome" button. Better yet, a "Supermodel" button that replaces the subjects with fashion models in exactly the same pose.

That is without a doubt the dumbest feature I've ever seen advertised for a camera. Where will the ad people place the ads for this camera? In doughnut shops?

"Free slimming camera with the purchase of 5 dozen doughnuts!"

"Is your wife or husband fat? Try this camera instead of exercising!"

"Got fat?"

geez.

The good thing is this would be legal for DPC "Basic Editing".

Agreed.

What does it say about our society that some marketing person thinks this will sell a lot of cameras? What does it mean if they are right?
