Reuters biggest photographic project launched last Monday night in London with the opening of the exhibition “Reuters – The State of the World”. Tom Glocer, CEO, welcomed an audience of over 250 editors, correspondents and booksellers at the prestigious Royal National Theatre on London’s South Bank. The launch party took place in the surroundings of an exhibition of pictures from the book, arranged in a maze formation.
“Reuters – The State of the World” is a book of 400 pages featuring pictures by 230 photographers and essays from nine reporters. Published by Thames & Hudson, the book chronicles the first years of the new century, with Reuters as a “global witness” of contemporary history. It is published in seven languages - English, French, Spanish, German, Deutch, Italian, and Greek with more languages to follow next year.
