Does anybody know if Aperture can open Nikon Capture edited NEFs like Photoshop does?

There's no reason why not. Aperture 1.5 Specs.

I'm not sure because some media management solution doesn't because they don't use Nikon DLLs for interpreting SoftEdits.

Have you tried?
