I'll apologize in advance if this has been discussed countless times before, but I couldn't find an answer when I searched the forums...
The file numbers are fine on my camera, but when I hook it up to my computer and transfer pictures using Windows Picture and Fax viewer, the photo numbers always start at 1....so if I put pictures in a folder, erase all the images off my card, go out and shoot some more, and then upload the new ones, the new ones start at 1 again...so I will have several pictures in the same folder with the file 'picture0001' or something like that.
Is there any way to fix this? I can only use the Windows program because I'm travelling around Europe right now and don't want to put the camera software on their computers....also I'm saving all my pictures on my iPod.
Thanks for your help |

| What do you mean by "their computers"? |

| I'm travelling around Europe and staying at friends' houses...I'm just using their computers, and transferring the pictures directly onto my iPod. |

I would suspect your file numbering option is set to "Auto Reset"
Do this and make sure
Turn your camera on.
menu-------right 3 times----go down to "File Numbering"
it should be on "continous". If not change it to "Continous".
You cant just use Windows Explorer to transfer the shots?
