Does anyone know how to embed a gallery thumbnail inside another gallery? I can't find anything in the Help at PBase, but I see other people doing it all the time. i also don't see an option for it in the Edit Gallery pages.

Do you mean to put one gallery inside another?
If so, copy the entire gallery into the other one on the edit root gallery page and use "copy instead of move" if you want the gallery in both places.
