HUGE deal. I know a lot of your aren't near here, but might be worth the drive. I know this is short notice but I'm planning on going alone on Sunday if anyone would like to meet up? The celebrations actually start today, but looks like the big renactments are all on Sunday. I know there's going to be a lot of people, but if anyone would like to meet let me know! |

Wish I were able to go. My 7th Great-Uncle was killed in the battle fighting for our new freedom. Van |

Well just found out hubby has duty on Sunday so I won't be alone hehe, the lil one will be with me, which is fine. She'll love seeing the the recreation of the march to Surrender Field.
Taking her out of school tomorrow to tour the ships and see the encampment. Now I'm just praying the rain holds out.
Heading out to see the fireworks here in a bit.
Best thing about this is most of what they are having is free. Free is good! |

Man it's starting to rain, and supposed to rain most of the day tomorrow. Hoping the weekend will be nice at least. One last soccer game on Saturday and going to the battlefields on Sunday.
I'd LOVE to go to the mountains. I miss the mountains. I can only imagine how beautiful they will be.
Drive safe! |

:D Same here! This one's for all the marbles - championship game. They won last weekend in the semi-finals with a double-overtime, double-shootout game!!! Pretty exciting for 11 yr-olds. Maybe more so for the parents. :P |

That's awsome!
Well these are 5yo's and it's through parks and rec. No scores are kept. Although our coach and my husband(assistant coach) keep score. We're undefeated lol. We have 2 little boys on our team and they pretty much do all the work. They take the ball from their own teamates so now the rest of the team just kind of runs around the field looking like their doing something. It's funnier as all get out.
I think spring we'll be looking for an actual league because our daughter loves and I think she'd get more out of it if it were league.
Well good luck on that last game! |
