| has anyone had any experience with or heard anything good about apple Aperture? my high school is trying to get a hold of a copy but untill then im left wondering. |

Imagineer uses Aperture extensively. I think he has described it as "wonderful, but deeply flawed" or some such language. He might be able to give you some feedback. |

I've heard mixed reviews on Aperture.
You can also try out the Adobe Lightroom beta2 for free. It will be a competitor to Aperture.
You can download it from the Adobe site.

Most of my knowledge of Apple's Aperture program comes from this article. I don't know if anything's changed.
It sounds as if there are serious fundamental problems with the architecture of the program; but if you're just using OSX I don't see why that'd stop you. Drink the Kool-Aid® and enjoy. Oh yeah. |
