YES, I don't understand pictures that don't meet the challenge... what is the point ?

I think that since you can only enter one challenge a week, one should only be allowed to vote on all challenges BUT the one you enter !

Sorry newby here,
is that right? can you only enter one chalenge a week?
I am in troble if it is correct, could not see anything in the rules. PLEASE SOMEONE clarify this for me

You are a full memeber. You can enter the member challenge and one of the open challenges plus any extra challenges that arise.

Basically...if you can enter than it is ok. If the site blocks you from entering it usually means you are trying to enter two open challenges in the one week...or you are suspended...LOL!!

Yes.

If a challenge has the word "exclusive" in its information then you cannot enter that challenge and any other challenge with "exclusive" in its info, you have to choose between them.

For challenges that don't have exclusive in the info, you can enter as many as you wish, being a member.

Voting Observation:

Many people have there own scoring system, which I think is a great way for people to stop and actually look at the image for more than a second. It also keeps the standards for that voter consistant and the vote more thought out. Here is my way of scoring :

Meets challenge x/2
Focus of photo is on the challenge subject x/1
Technical (sharpness, noise, etc) x/1
Composition x/2
Creativity x/3
New concept/idea never been tried x/1

Extra/less points: Here I give +/- points (usually +) for things like professionalism and photo meaning (something that goes beyond the "pretty" and evokes emotions).

I base my scoring a lot more on creativity than other people do. I feel that it takes more effort and guts to be creative and submit those photos. Especially on this site. I also think creativity is what makes someone succeed in the business part of photography, and makes them stand out from the rest when it comes time to apply for a job.
