Eight of us gathered today at Devil's Lake State Park in S. Wisconsin, braving cold temps (about 50 deg F) and winds. We did a 3 hour hike up the East Bluff. The hike was surprisingly arduous and even dangerous at times, but the views were wonderful. A great time!

Here are a few quick edits:

I wish I could have been along for this. Looks like you all had fun. Unfortunately I ran into a few snags with work and had to re-edit about 30 minutes of video. I have been working on this Company Orientation Video for nearly 2 months. It is due tomorrow. I was warned in advance that one of the people in the video may need to be removed and replaced. Well on Tuesday they fired the guy so I had to go shoot new footage of his replacement giving the same speech I filmed him doing 3 weeks ago. His replacement was a very nice lady but a terrible actress. 12 takes and I still had problems finding usable material But I some how managed. Took forever though.

Anyhow I finished around the end of the Badger game I think that was about 2:15 At that point I figured I would only have about an hour of daylight if I drove up there by you guys. So I decided not to go.

Next time I will be sure to have the date and time blocked out on my schedule so I can come along.

Is there going to be a winter get together? maybe go to one of those huge neihborhoods that decorate for the holidays and try our hands at some xmas lighting shots. Or just get together for some xmas cheer.

If not that perhaps a spring fling?

Brian, there was some talk yesterday of doing a Winter GTG down by the river in Prairie Du Chein to shoot the bald eagles as they come to fish on the ice. I might be getting the details wrong but NstiG8tr (Dave), who lives down there, will give us a heads-up about the best times/places.

Beyond that, certainly another GTG as spring comes, maybe somewhere different, but chosen due to its central location.

A GTG in Wisconsin and no pictures of cheese?? ;-P

Thanks for putting the names in this pic, strangeghost. Makes it look more like a Convention of Daves, though. ;-)

Great Photos! Devils lake was one of my favorite places when I lived in Wisconsin, I spent a lot of time there. These bring back memories.
