There's very little that I'm finding helpful on the net as far as reviews are concerned. I was thinking, Epson w/6 ink cartridges but the Canons seem to be more up to date.

Epson Stylus Photo R380? Canon PIXMA iP6600D?

I've never used the Canon, but I've had many Epsons through the years and would buy them again.

With any of them consider the availability and pricing on the consumables. You'll spend way more in ink and paper in the first year than the printer itself.

Yes, I found the same thing Pawdrix, so I did some research and opened a couple of threads exploring these technologies and terminologies in the DPC forums. There was fairly good response and a lot of issues were indeed explored.

Do a forum search for 'Printers DPI explored' and 'Printer Wars:Canon vs Epson for detailed information on the technologies.

Epson has made some progress recently by decreasing the size of their droplets, but are still a bit behind when considering any of their printers with a single black cartridge.

EDIT: Added links. Just for fun, I'll put them in my profile too.
