| Any off-brand products that are just as good? It seems like a rip off to pay almost $120 for this thing!!! |

I assume you want it for your 70-200L? I don't know how solid the body on the 350D is but I used to (occasionally) use my 10D with the 35-350L (which is HEAVY!) by just using the camera mount. If you're just going to use the lens once in a while on the tripod you might try it...
Sometimes you can find one on ebay for cheap... if the person selling it doesn't know better. ;-)

| I heard that the black one from another lens is the same size and cheaper - I forget the lens but should not be hard to find - 200L?? |
