Hello all!
I am really looking for advice in relation to buying a copy of Photoshop CS. I have found that buying it online through ebay would be most cost effective though I am sceptical about purchasing it this way. I want a LEGAL version!!!! Is ebay a good option, or should I stay clear? Any suggestions/advice would be welcome.
Thanks! |

| You can check the feedback on Ebay to see if folk have commented about being sent dodgy stuff from that seller in the past. |

| You'll want to be sure it has a legal transferable serial number so you can upgrade. See if can get that number and call Adobe to check. |

I have found that in general ebay is not a really good place to buy legal software. There are some very honest sellers on there, you need to check their feedback. Also, keep an eye out for ones that have alot of feedback from one or two buyers, or the exact same comment from alot of different buyers.
One of my friends bought adobe illustrator off ebay and got a CD with the demo version- which he could've downloaded for free. But he's also bought things on there and had them been legetimate.

You can also try Amazon.com where users can sell "used" goods. I got Paint Shop Pro X software off there because it was open box but sealed software. Everything checked out from a legal perspective and I got it for 75% off of retail price (of course I can get it on sale at major retailers for about 30% off).

| Sealed in the box old stock on eBay will be OK, depending on seller's feedback. Or if already registered, the registrant can transfer the license to a buyer using an Adobe supplied form (you can find it on the web). |

I have bought and sold quite a few things on EBay. But, I personally wouldn't buy software on there. That's not to say you can't find a good deal from a reputable seller, selling a legal version of whatever you're wanting to buy. The problem I see is that what if it isn't a legal copy? Who do you see? What do you do? Yes, there are ways to get your money back. But, spending a little extra at your nearest Best Buy, Costco, etc MAY be worth it, saving you the hassle should something go wrong.
