Guys,

Have any of you used a Nikon SB flash on a Canon camera?

I have succumbed to the Strobist bug and bought some Ebay radio triggers and an SB-25, also off Ebay. They work great and hope to give them a good test soon, though I would love to be able to play with the strobing effect.

If I mount the flash to the Canon's hot shoe, obvioulsy the TTL function won't work. I could use it as a manual flash, but what about the Auto and Strobe modes?

The radio triggers only produce a short pulse to fire the flash, though the strobe mode needs a longer signal (During a longer shutter opening) to allow it to complete the set number of flashes at the set rate (You have to hold the test fire button - if you just press it quickly, the storbe efect is stopped short).

Would this work on my Canon?
Is it safe to try?

Cheers,
AL.
