Mie's working great. Have you noticed that the new built in Google search offers Suggestiions? For instance, type in "Canon G7" and it adds suggested words to it, like "review," "digital camera," etc. Nice!

The page to see if you have problems, for starters:

Firefox Released

From that page:

Upgrade issues/questions

-Can't connect to sites after the upgrade? Check your firewall!
-When will the auto-update happen? "Over the next several weeks".
-Will it keep my bookmarks and settings? Yes. You can back up your settings to be sure. Make sure that you close Firefox before upgrading!
-You lied, it didn't keep by bookmarks or settings! There's a problem with the installer where it doesn't shut down Firefox completely and so files don't get updated. Uninstall Firefox 2.0, delete the application folder (on Windows, C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox), and reinstall. If they're still not there, read this.

I have installed it on two systems over ver 1.5 and have had no problems with anything. I like it.

I have been using firefox since my first boss introduced it to me in 2002? I think it was at version .2(called phoenix i believe), no tabs then, just a fast browser, small tidy and theme able and not ms. Nowadays it is part of my primary install kit. I am a chronic tabber, 20+ sofar hahaha. The new theme is nice as is the spell checker and the tab recovery. Still I am not quite used to the close per tab option, keep twitching toward the right corner.
A cool feature that's been around for a while is to make a bookmark folder of all your open tabs. You can open the folder all at once. Mine is called Morning Glory, has my gmail, dpreview,anandtech,dpchallenge,hardocp,digg...
All ready to check when I wakeup.

Loving the fox,
Patrick

I had no problems installing it over 1.5 on my PC. I'm not sure I like the individual tab closings, since I'm used to that one big X at the right. The only extension that didn't work, and that there was no new update for, was the tinyurl creator.

Just installed 2.0 without problems, except that I mistakenly selected the "standard" install option which started the install without further question--including where I wanted it installed. My old firefox was in a different folder, and it put it in the "standard" place. :(

But it has all my bookmarks and it's otherwise fine. A lot of the extensions I used were not updated yet, including "fasterfox". But others have now been replaced with built-in features.

Now I have to go delete the old install directory--and clean up the control panel "add/Remove programs" registry information for the prior install. Firefox 1.5.0.3 is still listed. I wonder if I dare let it uninstall itself (and not mess up my other settings!)
